Absolute Law Law & Legal Definition

A law of nature which is thought to be unchanging in principle, even though circumstances may vary the way in which it is applied. Its similar to natural law which is the rule of conduct supposedly inherent in the relations between human beings. Absolute law is thought to be discoverable by way of reason. Absolute law is based upon an innate moral sense. It is the law of nature or the laws of nature, collectively.
