Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Bureau is a unique law enforcement agency in the United States Department of Justice and is responsible for the protection of the communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, acts of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and tobacco products. The Strategic Plan of the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Bureau, to address these challenges is based on long-term legislative mission mandates, customer and stakeholder input, and Presidential and Departmental priorities.
