Animation Law & Legal Definition

Animation involves the laws of human motion, physics, psychology as applied to 2D and 3D characters, life drawing and rendering techniques, and the application of audio and video to an animation project. It is a blend of art and technology, and those working in the field will not only require creativity and good visualization skills, but also specialized training in industry-relevant design software and digital media equipment to be competitive and successful.

Animators work primarily in motion picture and video industries, advertising, and computer systems design services. They draw by hand and use computers to create the large series of pictures that form the animated images or special effects seen in movies, television programs, and computer games. Some draw storyboards for television commercials, movies, and animated features.
