Bankruptcy Plan Law & Legal Definition
Bankruptcy plan refers to a detailed program of action formulated by a debtor or its creditors to govern the debtor's rehabilitation, continued operation or liquidation, and payment of debts. The plan needs to be approved by the court before it can be implemented. In the context of Chapter 11 these plans are referred as Plan of reorganization and with regard to Chapter 13 it is called plan of rehabilitation.
