Bill of peace was an English court practice used in the 17th and 18th centuries for legal disputes involving multiple parties that shared common aspects. A bill filed to procure repose from repeated litigation is termed bill of peace. It is one of the earliest instances in which chancery courts entertained jurisdiction on the ground of preventing a multiplicity of suits.
