Breastfeeding in public means breastfeeding of babies by their mothers in a public or semi-public place. In some societies breastfeeding in public is considered as an indecent activity and such societies will have laws which deprave them of the right. While in other societies breastfeeding in public is granted as a right. In U.S., breastfeeding in public is legal, though sometimes people out of their ignorance on this might complain about it. In U.S., any incident of discrimination with respect to breastfeeding in public can be reported to the National Alliance of Breastfeeding Advocacy (NABA). NABA advocates breastfeeding at the state and federal levels, and collects information about such breastfeeding discrimination.
