Common Pleas Law & Legal Definition
Common pleas refers to the name of a court which has general jurisdiction. “Common pleas” is a superior court that has jurisdiction of all real actions and common pleas. All civil causes both real and personal are tried in this court, and it seemed to have been the only court for real causes.”
