Conditional Plea Law & Legal Definition

Conditional plea is a plea of guilty or nolo contendere entered with the court’s approval and government’s consent reserving in writing the defendant’s right to appeal any adverse determinations on one or more pretrial motions. If an appeal is successful, the plea is withdrawn and a new one entered. [USCS Fed Rules Crim Proc R 11]
