Friendly Lawsuit Law & Legal Definition

A friendly lawsuit is a lawsuit brought about by the agreement of both parties involved. The parties bring the suit not as adversaries, but as collaborators for resolving a legal question or obtaining a legal opinion on an issue. For example two companies can bring a friendly law suit in court for clarifying a legal interpretation of a contract between them.
