Presiding Judge Law & Legal Definition

Presiding Judge can be a judge in charge of a particular court or judicial district. It also refers to the senior active judge who chairs a panel of three or more judges, hearing and deciding cases. Presiding judge can also be a judge who presides over sessions and deliberations of a court at the same time overseeing the administration of the court. A presiding judge is also referred to as President Judge.
