Quantitative Analysis Law & Legal Definition

Quantitative analysis uses statistical measures to collect, interpret, and communicate data. Quantitative data includes statistical techniques and  multivariate methods. Quantitative analysis has different meanings in different contexts.

In social science, quantitative analysis refers to the use of numerical and statistical techniques rather than the analysis of oral material.

In finance, a quantitative analyst, is someone who applies mathematics to finance.

In analytical chemistry, quantitative analysis involves the measurements of quantities of substances produced in reactions rather than simply noting the nature of the reactions.
