Quasi-judicial refers to an individual or organization which has powers similar to those of a court of law or judge and is able to remedy a situation or impose legal penalties on another. Its authority usually exists in matter involving codes of conduct, discipline, or handling of funds. Examples, among others, may include a land planning commission, a mayoral commission, or human rights commission.
