Survivor Benefits (Labor) Law and Legal Definition
Survivor benefits are payments made to dependents of deceased employees. Survivor benefits are of two types namely, transition benefits and bridge benefits. In transition type a certain amount is paid monthly to the named beneficiary for a short period. Bridge benefits follows transition benefits and are a series of payments that last until a specific date which is a longer period.
