A-Files Law and Legal Definition
“A-Files” are those investigative files created for every registered alien. A-Files are also known as Alien Registration Files. A-Files represent an individual’s twentieth-century U.S. immigration and Naturalization history and help to understand the U.S. immigration policy. These files contain informational and evidentiary documents that are essential for family historians.
