Ab Absurdo is a Latin term meaning an evidentiary suggestion or statutory interpretation that is, or leads to, an absurdity. It is a set of suggested legal reasoning or interpretation that is unacceptable due to its absurdity. While interpreting contracts, a clause of a contract is given a meaning that gives a contract some effect rather than one that gives it no effect.
