Ab Irato is a Latin word which means “ By one who is angry.” This usually refers to a gift or bequest that is made adversely to an heir’s interests, out of anger or hatred. A devise made under these circumstances is called a testament ab irato. An action to set aside these type of conveyance was known as an action ab irato.
