Abortifacient Law and Legal Definition
The term ‘abortifacient’ refers to a drug, article, or any other substance designed or intended to produce or induce an abortion. Rarely, it is known as aborticide.
Abortifacients for animals that have mated undesirably are known as mismating shots. Mifepristone and misoprostol are examples of abortifacients used in performing medical abortions. When used in oral form it may be referred to as the abortion pill.
