Above-Mud-Line or AML Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 216.215 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries Chapter Ii -- National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce], the term Above-mud-line or AML means that “the explosives are detonated in the water column above the water-mud interface, either inside or outside a pipe, other structure or cable.”
