An accelerated nursing degree program is one of the fastest ways to complete a nursing degree from nursing school. It is done online. A student can sit at home and finish the nursing course to become a professional nurse within short period of time. The different types of accelerated nursing degree program include competency based degrees, degree completion programs and online + campus programs.
According to 42 USCS § 296(16), the term "accelerated nursing degree program" means a program of education in professional nursing offered by an accredited school of nursing in which an individual holding a bachelors degree in another discipline receives a BSN or MSN degree in an accelerated time frame as determined by the accredited school of nursing.
