Accredited Agency [Adoption] Law and Legal Definition
An accredited agency refers to an adoption service provider who has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) or state Department of Human Services. Such an agency provides adoption services in the U.S. for cases subject to the regulations set forth by the Hague Adoption Convention. However, an accredited agency does not include a temporarily accredited agency.
