Accredited Body [Adoption] Law and Legal Definition
An accredited body refers to an adoption agency which has gone through the complete process of accreditation. It should meet criteria for accreditation imposed by the accrediting country. An agency that is accredited can perform certain functions of the Convention in the place of, or in conjunction with, the U.S. Central Authority.
