Accredited representative is a person with designated authority to act on behalf of another person, group, or organization. The authority to represent is usually granted by law or by the rules of the group or organization. The representative may be chosen on the basis of his or her qualifications. For example, as an officer of the union, she was the accredited representative of the employees in the labor dispute.
