Acquired Servitude Law and Legal Definition
Acquired servitude means a servitude that demands a special mode of acquisition for it to come into existence. For example, a positive servitude can be obtained by prescription. Generally, a servitude acquired or exercised by one of the co-owners of the dominant property is deemed to have been acquired or exercised by all co-owners.
