Act and Deed Law and Legal Definition
Act and deed refers to a formally delivered written instrument that memorializes a bargain or transaction. In early days, these words were used when signing a legal instrument. Immediately after signing, the party would touch the seal and declare, “I deliver this as my act and deed.”
