Actio Serviana Law and Legal Definition
Actio serviana refers to an action available for the lessor of a farm or a rural estate and by which s/he could seize or recover the goods of the lessee or farmer which were pledged or kept as security for the rent. Under an actio serviana action, the lessor can even recover the lessee’s personal property brought onto the leased premises.
