Action on Decision Law and Legal Definition
An action on decision (AOD) refers to a legal memorandum. This is a memorandum from attorneys of litigation division in the Internal Revenue Service to the Service's Chief Counsel. The memorandum is an advice on whether the Service should acquiesce, appeal, or take some other action in relation to a court's decision that is unfavorable to the Service.
