Actiones Nominatae Law and Legal Definition
Actiones nominatae are writs for which there were precedents in the English chancery. It is distinguished from Actiones innominatae, for which there were no precedents. The English courts of chancery would make no writs when there was no precedent, and the cases for which there were precedents were called actiones nominatoe.
