Active Guard and Reserve(AGR) Law and Legal Definition
Active Guard Reserve (AGR) is the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force federal military program placing Army National Guard and Army Reserve soldiers and Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve airmen on federal active duty status to provide full-time support to National Guard and Reserve organizations. The purpose of AGR is organizing, administering, recruiting, instructing, or training the Reserve Components. In the U.S., the National Guard and Reserves play an important part in keeping military strong.
