Ad Interim Law and Legal Definition
Ad Interim is a Latin term which means in the mean time. For example, when a main officer is absent or incapable of carrying out his/her responsibilities another officer may be deputed to discharge the duties of the main officer. In such situation it can be said an officer is appointed ad interim.
