Ad Jura Regis Law and Legal Definition
Ad jura regis is a Latin term which means “for the rights of the king.” It generally refers to a writ which was brought by the king's clerk against a person who seeks to eject the holder of a royal benefice. It is presented to a living by the holder of the benefice against those who endeavored to eject him/her, to the prejudice of the King’s title.
