Adequate Protective Cover Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 37.2 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries, Chapter I -- United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of The Interior], the term adequate protective cover means “snow or a frostline, or both, sufficient to protect the vegetation and soil from significant adverse effects due to the operation of surface equipment, as determined by the Regional Director.”
