ADIT is an immigration law term. It is the abbreviation for Alien Documentation, Identification and Telecommunications card, Form I-89. ADIT is used to collect important data regarding an alien. Form I-89 serves as the source document for generation of Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card when processed together with an alien's photographs, fingerprints, and signature. [8 CFR 210.1].
