Adjusted Average Fuel Economy Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 611.2 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter II Department of Energy; Subchapter H Assistance Regulations; Part 611 Advanced Technology Vehicles; Manufacturer Assistance Program; Subpart A General], adjusted average fuel economy means “a harmonic production weighted average of the combined fuel economy of all vehicles in a fleet, which were subject to CAFE.”
