Administration De Bonis Non Law and Legal Definition
Administration de bonis non is a Latin term which means of the goods not administered. It means where a person has left the estate partially unsettled, an administration is granted for purpose of settling the reminder of an estate that was not administered by the former executor or administrator. Such administration is called administration de bonis non. An administration de bonis non was allowed not only in case of the death, resignation or revocation of the letters of an administrator or executor, but also in cases where after final settlement of an estate is had and the executor or administrator has been discharged. It is also celled as administrates.
