Administrative Receiver Law and Legal Definition
An administrative receiver refers to a person appointed by a court to administer the affairs of a company. S/he takes control of all, or substantially all, assets of a firm in receivership and is mandated to pay off the firm's debts, if possible, without liquidating it. The term also refers to a person appointed by a debenture holder to liquidate the assets of a company on his/her behalf
