Adolescent Family Life Act (“Act”) is a federal legislation that was enacted in1981. The Act aims to discourage teenage abortion and sexual promiscuity. Pursuant to the Act, federal funds are distributed to religious and charitable organizations. Such funds are utilized to conduct research and educate adolescents about the consequences of early pregnancies. However, the Act forbids counseling teenagers about abortion.
