Adult Correctional Institution [Education] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 6472 (1) [Title 20. Education; Chapter 70. Strengthening and Improvement of Elementary and Secondary Schools; Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth who are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk; General Provisions], the term adult correctional institution means “a facility in which persons (including persons under 21 years of age) are confined as a result of a conviction for a criminal offense.”
