Advowson Collative Law and Legal Definition
Advowson collative means the right held by a bishop to nominate a minister to officiate in a church. Here there is no separate presentation of the right to the bishop because the bishop happens to be the patron as well. In this case, the one act by which the benefice is bestowed is called collation.
