Aetiology Law and Legal Definition
Aetiology it is the science that deals with the causes or origin of disease, the factors which produce or predispose toward a certain disease or disorder. The word ‘aetiology’ comes from the Greek "aitia", cause + "logos", discourse.
The following is an example of a case law on aetiology:
Aetiology is a determining or analysis of the cause or nature of a problem or situation or the determination reached. [Hargrove v. Sec'y of HHS, 2009 U.S. Claims LEXIS 171 (Ct. Cl. 2009)].
