Affiliation Order Law and Legal Definition
An affiliation order is a court order requiring the father of an illegitimate child to make child-support payments. It was obliges the father to make payments towards the upkeep of the child. An affiliation order proves to be a legal document declaring that a man is the father of a child under question. Usually it is requested by the woman who makes this declaration stating that the man who is the subject of the order is indeed the father of her child.
