Aggregation Doctrine Law and Legal Definition
The purpose of the aggregation doctrine is to prohibit a party from summing up he amounts in all of his/her claims in order to meet the minimum amount required to give rise to federal diversity jurisdiction under the amount-in-controversy requirement.
