Agroterrorism Law and Legal Definition
Agroterrorism means the poisonous use of plant or animal pathogens to cause destructive disease in the agricultural sector. In other words it means terrorist acts designed to damage the agriculture of a stateby destroying crops, or introducing pests, or diseases. It may also take the form of hoaxes and threats intended to create public fear of such events. It is usually employed by the terrorists to reduce the food supply by destroying crops using natural pests such as the potato beetle, animal diseases such as hoof and mouth disease and anthrax, molds and other plant diseases, or chemicals that defoliate vegetation. It is also called as agriterrorism.
