Air Piracy [Aeronautics and Space] Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 243.3 [Title 14 -- Aeronautics and Space; Chapter II Office of the Secretary, Department of Transportation (Aviation Proceedings); Subchapter A Economic Regulations; Part 243 Passenger Manifest Information], Air Piracy means “any seizure of or exercise of control over an aircraft, by force or violence or threat of force or violence, or by any other form of intimidation, and with wrongful intent.”
