Air speed indicator means an instrument or device used in an aircraft to measure the air speed of an aircraft through an air mass, but not its ground speed. Air speed indicator measures the air speed in knots to the pilot. Usually, the speed of an aircraft is measured by using the differential between the pressure of still air and that of moving air compressed by the craft’s forward motion.
