Air Traffic Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 1.1 [Title 14: Aeronautics and Space: Chapter I -- Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation], air traffic means aircraft operating in the air or on an airport surface, exclusive of loading ramps and parking areas.
