Airframe Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 1.1 [Title 14: Aeronautics and Space: Chapter I -- Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation], airframe means the fuselage, booms, nacelles, cowlings, fairings, airfoil surfaces (including rotors but excluding propellers and rotating airfoils of engines), and landing gear of an aircraft and their accessories and controls.
