Alaska Native Organization [Education] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 7546 (2) [Title 20. Education; Chapter 70. Strengthening and Improvement of Elementary and Secondary Schools; Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native Education; Alaska Native Education], the term Alaska Native organization means “a federally recognized tribe, consortium of tribes, regional nonprofit Native association, and another organization that—
(A) has or commits to acquire expertise in the education of Alaska Natives; and
(B) has Alaska Natives in substantive and policymaking positions within the organization.”
