Alert Area Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 1.1 [Title 14: Aeronautics and Space: Chapter I -- Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation], an alert area is established to inform pilots of a specific area wherein a high volume of pilot training or an unusual type of aeronautical activity is conducted.
