According to 7 CFR 271.2 [Title 7. Agriculture; Subtitle B. Regulations Of The Department Of Agriculture; Chapter II. Food And Nutrition Service, Department Of Agriculture; Subchapter C Food Stamp And Food Distribution Program, Part 271 General Information And Definitions], ‘Alien Status Verification Index (ASVI)’ means “the automated database maintained by the Immigration and Naturalization Service which may be accessed by State agencies to verify immigration status.”
