American Association for the Advancement of Science [AAAS] Law and Legal Definition

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is an international non-profit organization established in 1848 to advance science around the world. The Association serves as educator, leader, spokesperson and professional associate.

The AAAS aims at:

(1)providing a platform for communication among scientists, engineers, and the public;

(2)promoting and defending the integrity of science and its use;

(3)providing support for the science and technology enterprise;
